Are the stories based on real events, or are they fictional?Our stories are inspired by real places and legendary moments from Islamic history. While the settings and historical context are rooted in reality, the characters and many of the events are fictional, created to help bring the emotional and spiritual journey to life through storytelling.

How does the subscription work?You can choose between a monthly, 3-month, 6-month subscription, or 12-month subscription. Once subscribed, you’ll receive a printed letter in the mail each month. Subscriptions renew automatically, but you can manage or cancel your subscription anytime via your account dashboard. Learn more about our subscription options.

What exactly does a subscription include?Each subscription includes a beautifully crafted monthly letter and a collectible postcard featuring an inspiring ayah, hadith, or du'a. Every letter is printed in full color on both sides, bringing the story to life through rich imagery and immersive storytelling. The very first letter also includes a special introductory note to help set the stage, drawing the reader into the world of the traveler from the very first page.

I want my child’s name on the envelope instead of mine. How do I do this?Kids love receiving their own mail! Simply use their name as the shipping name in the shipping address during checkout.

How do I purchase a subscription as a gift for someone?To purchase a non-renewing subscription, you can choose any of the 6-month or 12-month subscriptions labeled “gift”. These do not automatically renew at the end of the term. You can find these in the Pricing & Plans page and then click on Gift Subscription.

Can I change my address?When you create an account at checkout you can complete an address change. If you did not create an account during checkout, you will checkout as a guest instead.... in which case you will need to contact us at hello@theminarateletters.com to let us know of your current details along with your new address.

When will I receive my letter?All monthly letters will be processed and mailed between the second and third week of the month. This means, depending on your location, you should expect to find your letter in the mailbox before the end of the month. For our international customers, kindly expect to wait just a bit longer.

Do you mail letters internationally?Absolutely. The only difference is a slightly higher postage price.

What happens if I don't receive my letter?The Minaret Letters are sent all over the world via USPS. We cannot guarantee a delivery date and unfortunately, sometimes letters do get lost in transport. Please allow up to 21 days from your subscribing date to receive your letter (30 days for international). If it hasn't arrived by then, just send us a note via the question bubble in the bottom right corner and we'll be more than glad to send you another!

Do you offer refunds or accept returns?As our letters are printed and mailed as original written works, we do not offer returns or refunds for delivered letters. However, if you're unsatisfied with your experience, you can cancel your subscription at any time to stop future mailings. Read our full Return & Refund Policy.

What if I need to cancel or change my subscription?When you create an account at checkout, you’ll have full control to pause, cancel, or extend your subscription at any time—whether you’re eager for more letters or feel ready to take a break from the journey. If you checked out as a guest and didn’t create an account, no worries! Just email us at hello@theminaretletters.com and we’ll be happy to assist you.
