Frequently asked questions

When can I expect my letter to arrive?

Your monthly letter will be processed and mailed between the second and third week of the month. Depending on your location, it should arrive before the end of the month. International customers may need to wait a bit longer.

If you are live where traditional mail can take longer, we suggest choosing the digital subscription.

What happens if I didn't receive my letter?

The Minaret Letters are sent all over the world via USPS. We cannot guarantee a delivery date and unfortunately, sometimes letters do get lost in transport. Please allow up to 21 days from your subscribing date to receive your letter (30 days for international). If it hasn't arrived by then, just send us a note via the question bubble in the bottom right corner and we'll be more than glad to send you another!

Do you offer refunds or accept returns?

As our letters are printed and mailed as original written works, we do not offer returns or refunds for delivered letters. However, if you're unsatisfied with your experience, you can cancel your subscription at any time to stop future mailings. Read our full Return & Refund Policy.

How can I buy a gift subscription?

To purchase a gift subscription, choose any 6-month or 12-month plan labeled “Gift” on our Pricing & Plans page. These are one-time purchases with no auto-renewal, making them perfect for gifts.

You can also gift our single First Letter from the shop—just enter your recipient’s shipping address at checkout.

How does the subscription work?

It's simple! Receive a letter in the mailbox every month from our traveling friend Aali.

Choose between a monthly, 6-month subscription, 12-month subscription or digital and wait for your letter to arrive.

If you've selected digital you should receive it within 24 hours.

Subscriptions renew automatically, but you can manage or cancel your subscription anytime via your account dashboard.

Are the stories based on real events, or are they fictional?

Our stories are inspired by real places and legendary moments from Islamic history. While the settings and historical context are rooted in reality, the characters and many of the events are fictional, created to help bring the emotional and spiritual journey to life through storytelling.

What is the recommended age for this?

This series is designed for all ages — from curious children to lifelong learners. Through vivid storytelling, rich imagery, and immersive historical detail, each journey transports readers straight to the heart of a different Islamic civilization.
